I am running to be your representative to the U.S. Congress from Connecticut's Fourth District. I am seeking this office because I can no longer stand by and watch the status quo politics continue to lead us away from the American Dream.
We need an optimist and leader who knows that we can revitalize our economy, create results-based policies, and hold Washington accountable. My background in business, education and the military makes me uniquely able to tackle these very real problems that affect both our district and our nation.
I believe that a smart government that is held accountable will turn our economy around realizing that:
- Employment and jobs can grow if we rely upon results-based policies
- Education is the essential key to assuring the future of our nation
- Employability of our workforce is fundamental in the global, competitive economy
We can restore Connecticut's and America's competitiveness. I know that with you, we will make real differences here and in Washington and together we will restore our prosperity as a state and a nation once again.

Steve Obsitnik of Westport is now the Republican nominee for the U.S. House of Representatives in Connecticut’s Fourth Congressional District.

Source: Minuteman News Center. Obsitnik has been garnering endorsements from all the district’s GOP town committees, and is expected to receive the nomination to run against Himes at the Republican convention this weekend in Hartford.
